The original music of Brittany and Wales is preserved through the performances and lecture/workshops of multi-lingual vocalist and choral movie director Brigitte Kloareg. As well as Essex, England-born vocalist Julie Murphy and bagpipers Jonathan Shorland and Ceri Matthews, she shaped a Welsh-speaking music group, Saith Rhyfeddod, in the early-’90s. Kloareg collaborated in 1999 with Luzili Mulindi Ruler of Kenya for some workshops that emphasized the cross-cultural romantic relationship between African music and music from the United kingdom Empire. Kloareg offers significantly performed with her girl, Katell.
