Bricolage

Glasgow post-punk revivalists Bricolage shaped in 2005 and started using pop music heavily influenced with the Postcard sound, particularly that of Orange Juice, as well as the razor-sharp experience of Vic Godard & the Subway Sect. Made up of Graham Wann and Wallace Meek on electric guitar and vocals, Darren Cameron on bass, tips, and vocals, and Colin Kearney on drums, the music group released its initial one, “Footsteps,” for Scottish label Creeping Bent in the summertime of 2006. For this period, Kearney started playing in the much-hyped Royal We aswell, which only offered to increase the already significant curiosity about Bricolage. In 2007 the group released two even more singles, “Looting Uses the Waiting around Out of Seeking” for Fantastic Plastic material Information and “The Waltzers” for Memphis Sectors. The band’s self-titled debut record, which was made by Stephen Lironi of Scottish pop heroes Changed Images, premiered in January of 2009 by Creeping Bent in the U.K. and in-may from the same season by Slumberland in the U.S.
