Brendan Bowyer

b. 12 Oct 1938, Waterford, Eire. Influenced by the rock and roll ‘n’ roll growth of the past due 50s, Bowyer found prominence in his homeland after becoming a member of the newly shaped Royal Showband in 1957. The rugby-playing Bowyer was known for his acrobatics onstage, including jumping over his partner Tom Dunphy in mid-song. Bowyer sang business lead on a lot of the music group’s songs, like the Irish #1 1 strikes ‘Kiss Me Quick’, ‘No Even more’, ‘Bless You’, ‘The Hucklebuck’ and ‘Don’t Lose Your Hucklebuck Sneakers’. Unquestionably typically the most popular vocalist in Eire through the 60s, Bowyer was acclaimed as the showband’s response to Elvis Presley. Through the summer season of 1971, Bowyer remaining the Royal to become listed on the best 8 and adopted his coach Presley onto the NEVADA circuit. His valedictory tribute to Presley, ‘Say thanks to You Elvis’, came back him towards the Irish Top 10 during 1977. For the time being, he slipped inexorably into alcoholism, before blow drying in the first 80s. He still takes on the Vegas circuit, frequently together with the regularly changing Big 8.
