Bread and Circus

Tucson band Loaf of bread and Circus played root base rock with solid components of Americana, nation, and cowpunk on the 2007 debut Compact disc, Spare Me More than. The music group was shaped by vocalist, guitarist, audio engineer, and Signalhouse Documenting studio room owner John Axtell, who’d performed in Medication Hat, Sun Move Spark, and Daddy Macintosh as well as the Drunk Container. Primarily the group started being a duo and informal recording task with drummer Sam Donaldson (previously from the Dharma Bums), growing to add guitarist/vocalist Eric Johnson (previously of Black Sunlight Ensemble and Sunlight Move Spark) and bassist Joe Yearego (previously of Los Federales).
