Breabach

Melding the various areas of Celtic folk — in other words pipes, whistles, flutes, fiddles, and traditional dance, Breabach discovered success quickly, and earned many awards on the way. The music group had auspicious origins, earning the 2005 Danny Kyle Open up Stage Award at that year’s Celtic Cable connections Festival, which resulted in a cope with the Vertical Information label the next season. Before releasing their debut record, Breabach have scored a nomination for Greatest Becoming more popular Band on the Scots Traditional Music Honours — also in 2006. These debut, THE BEST Spree, premiered to a warm reception in 2007, as well as the group implemented it up using a tour. In 2008 bandmembers Donal Dark brown (pipes, flute, whistles, stepdance), Calum MacCrimmon (pipes, whistles, vocals), Patsy Reid (fiddle, vocals), and Ewan Robertson (electric guitar, vocals) embarked on the Welsh and British tour, furthermore to planning for a Western european jaunt afterwards in the entire year. Following studio room LPs Desperate Fight of the Wild birds (2010), Bann (2012), and Ùrlar (2013) helped to help expand solidify the group among the U.K. modern folk music scene’s biggest achievement tales. In 2016 they released their much expected fifth record, Astar. That same season saw them collect the “Folk Music group of the entire year” and “Recording of the entire year” awards in the Scots Trad Music Awards.
