Brave Old World

Klezmer music traces back again to the dance music played by itinerant Jewish music that traveled throughout Europe in the nineteenth hundred years. The tradition is definitely raised to contemporary specifications by Brave Older World, an organization that includes associates from California, Chicago, NY and Berlin. “The Washington Post’ known as Daring Old Globe “the revival’s first supergroup. The initial lineup of Daring Old World highlighted Joel Rubin on clarinet, Ben Bazyler on drums, Stu Brotman, a previous person in 1960s’ rock-band, Kaleidescope and an ex-sideman for Canned High temperature, Geoff and Maria Muldaur and Ry Cooder, on bass, cymablom, tilinka and percussion, Indiana-born and Berlin-based Alan Bern on keyboards and Michael Alpert, a founding person in Kapelye and a study associate on the YIVO Institute for Jewish analysis, on violin, accordion and vocals. Rubin was afterwards changed by Kurt Bjorling, musical movie director from the Chicago Klezmer Outfit since 1984. In 1992, the group gained first prize on the International Klezmer Celebration in Sofed, Israel. Furthermore with their recordings, Daring Old World continues to be highlighted on two albums with violinist Itzhak Perlman.
