Brass Monkey

Brass Monkey was a most unusual and appealing British folk group. Made up of Martin Carthy (acoustic guitar, mandolin, vocals), John Kirkpatrick (squeezeboxes, vocals), Howard Evans (trumpet, flugelhorn, vocals), Martin Brinsford (saxophone, mouth-organ, percussion), and with regards to the day, either Roger Williams or Richard Cheetham (trombone), these were a robust and commanding group. Sadly, these very occupied musicians were not able to find plenty of time for the music group to continue.
