Brandt Brauer Frick

The Berlin-based Brandt Brauer Frick (Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer, and Paul Frick) produce what they call “emotional body music,” or trim techno with supple and primarily acoustic instrumentation. They debuted in ’09 2009 using the 12″ singles “Wallah” and “Iron Guy,” released respectively on the fitness center and Tartelet; at that time, the only various other significant group attaining similar noises was the Moritz von Oswald Trio. The !K7 label subsequently agreed upon BBF and released their debut album, You Make Me True, in November 2010. Mr. Machine implemented in Oct 2011; credited towards the Brandt Brauer Frick Outfit, it included a ten-piece orchestra, brand-new variations of four music from the initial record, and a vocal monitor compiled by and offering Emika. In March 2013, the trio released their third recording, Miami — a arranged not as aimed toward golf club DJs — with visitor vocal looks from Gudrun Gut, Nina Kraviz, Jamie Lidell, and Om’Mas Keith. BBF performed at an array of locations and celebrations, including Montreux Jazz, Lincoln Middle, Coachella, Mutek, Sonar, and Berghain. A wide-scoped installment in !K7’s DJ-Kicks series followed in Feb 2014. The expansive however concise and song-oriented Pleasure, the group’s 4th studio album, premiered in Oct 2016 with vocalist and poet Beaver Sheppard presented throughout.
