Area of the later-’90s explosion of Swedish electric guitar pop rings, Brainpool was formed in Lund, Sweden, by vocalist Janne Kask, guitarist David Birde, bassist Christoffer Lundquist, and drummer Jens Jansson. Their Beatles impact was shown on such albums as 1994’s Soda pop, 1995’s Painkiller, and 1996’s Stay Totally free. Kask still left the music group in 1997, however the staying members stayed jointly, launching You Are Within 1999.
