Bradley Kincaid, originally from your hillsides of Kentucky and armed with an abundance of folk music and hill ballads, prefered to make reference to himself like a folksinger. While at university in Chicago he started regularly appearing around the WLS Barndance (later on Country wide Barndance). In 1936 he found out Lewis Marshall Jones and quickly renamed him Grandpa Jones. Though he retired from the street in 1953, he still performed folk celebrations and recorded every once in awhile. Actually, over 4 times in 1963 he documented 162 tunes. He passed away in Sept 1989 in Springfield, Ohio.
