Boys Forever

Before Patrick Doyle started writing and playing his own music in Guys Forever, he amassed an extremely impressive CV. In the middle-2000s he helped type Glaswegian indie pop group the Royal We, playing electric guitar. After one stellar mini-album released in 2007 for the Geographic label, the group splintered. Doyle became a member of fellow bandmembers in a fresh band, Sexy Children, who released one traditional noise pop jewel, “Sisters Are Forever,” on U.S. indie pop stock Slumberland in 2008. That same yr Doyle, this time around playing bass, became a member of Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson in the angular pop music group Correcto, who released one recording in 2008 for Domino. Both rings weren’t extremely long-lived, and in ’09 2009 Doyle became a member of previous Royal We/Sexy Children guitarist Roxanne Clifford and ex-Your Twenties guitarist Wayne Hoare to create Veronica Falls. The self-titled Kids Forever recording was recorded in the home by Doyle and in LA, and was released by Amour Foo in August of 2016.
