Boyd Tinsley

Biography

A classically trained violinist and current person in the Dave Matthews Music group, Boyd Tinsley was raised in Charlottesville, VA. The aspiring guitarist uncovered a effectiveness for the violin within a middle college strings course, and continued to review under Isadore Saslav, the concertmaster from the Baltimore Symphony. When he was 16, Tinsley balked at the thought of pursuing the life span of a traditional virtuoso, and started experimenting with other styles of music. In 1991, after two unsuccessful single projects, he was asked to try out on a demonstration for the still however to explode Dave Matthews Music group, and subsequently joined up with the group full-time in 1992. In 2003 he announced his programs to one time record a single record, but admits to experiencing his current job(s) being a model as well as the violinist for just one from the world’s most widely used bands.
