Biography
Bow Wow Wow were a quartet organized by U.K. supervisor Malcolm McLaren (most widely known because the mastermind behind the Sex Pistols) in the beginning of the ’80s. McLaren matched up the trio of music artists who got constituted Adam Ant’s Ants — Matthew Ashman (b. 1962, d. 1995) on electric guitar, Leigh Gorman (b. 1961) on bass, and David Barbarossa (b. 1961) on drums — with teenage vocalist Annabella Lwin (b. Oct. 31, 1965), keeping the sooner group’s African-derived drum audio. In 1983, Lwin quit the group to get a solo profession, and the rest of the three transformed their name towards the Chiefs of Comfort. Both Lwin as well as the Chiefs released their very own albums. In 1995, Ashman passed on because of diabetes. Going by Lwin and Gorman, a re-formed Bow Wow Wow resurfaced in 1998 with Outrageous within the U.S.A., which highlighted both remixes and concert shows through the reunion tour; guitarist Dave Calhoun and drummer Eshan Khadaroo stuffed the other slot machine games. Another tour was announced in 2004, without Question drummer Adrian Youthful and GOOD SENSE guitarist Phil Gough signing up for Lwin and Gorman; the group toured through 2006, although by Sept 2005 Devin Beaman got replaced Little. In January of 2007 the very first brand-new Bow Wow Wow documenting in over 2 decades — a cover from the Smiths’ “I Began Something I Couldn’t End” recorded the prior 12 months — was offered via digital download because the b-side for an “I’D LIKE Chocolate” (1982) maxi-single.
