Boubacar Diagne

Boubacar Diagne is a seventh era performer in the Wolof drums of Senegal. He’s a primary descendant of the Berber performer who migrated to Senegal using the initial influx of incoming Qadiriya (a mystical spiritual order, among the oldest from the Sufi forms). Among the recognized experts of tabala Wolof (a range of five roughly large drums predicated on Arab battle drums and smaller sized African drums from Mauritania found from the Qadiriya on the path to Senegal), he’s been one of the most recorded types of the normally relatively secluded sect. Functioning primarily using the Town Pulse label out of Seattle, Boubacar’s primary album continues to be Tabala Wolof, aswell as looks on Town Pulse and Allegro samplers, as well as the Rough Guideline to Sufi Music. Presently, he’s continuing shows within Senegal and teaching his grandson to become the ninth era master drummer into the future.
