Botanica

Led by synthesist Sanford Ponder, this group produces music generated by fractal mathematics. The pc programs are linked to many synthesizers. The music artists then connect to the causing soundtracks by overdubbing percussion, sax, flute, and piano. For something made by the apparently impartial mathematics of “chaos” ideas, this music is certainly surprisingly gorgeous and psychologically stimulating.
