Biography

Philadelphia, PA-based progressive bluegrass music group Boris Garcia began being a saving unit rather than performing outfit and really was more of a lark when compared to a serious task in its inception. The five music artists — Jeff Otto (ukulele, bass, electric guitar, glide, and vocals), Gene Smith (recorder, harmonica, electric guitar, and vocals), Bob Stirner (business lead electric guitar, bass, and vocals), Stephe Ferraro (drums and percussion), and Bud Burroughs (mandolin, bouzouki, and accordion), writing a like of bluegrass, made a decision to make an record together. It had been known as Boris Garcia’s Family members Reunion, plus they released it in 2005 independently Porchwerk Music label. Just following the disc’s discharge did the music group began acquiring gigs around Philadelphia and accumulating a pursuing. They released their second record, Mother’s Finest, on June 27, 2006, where time that they had been asked to try out on the primary stage from the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
