Originally hailing from Cincinnati, Growth Bip (born Bryan Charles Hollon) is really a notable American musician who made his name mainly because an underground hip-hop producer in the first 2000s, but has since effectively branched away into various varieties of rock and electronic music. His music is usually made out of live instrumentation instead of examples or loops, and his full-band live shows took place at several celebrations, including Coachella and Glastonbury. He offers remixed and collaborated with a large number of artists which range from Four Tet and Lali Puna to Snow Patrol and Peter Bjorn and John, and he offers especially received acclaim for Neon Neon, his cooperation with Super Furry Pets vocalist Gruff Rhys. After playing in a number of bands during senior high school, Hollon became a DJ in 1993 while going to university in Cincinnati. Offbeat turntablist strategies gradually elevated his profile, and his 1998 12″ THE REDUCED End Series, an EP of jazzy, abstract hip-hop instrumentals in cooperation with DJ Osiris, was the 1st launch on Mush Information. Two years later on, the label released Group, Growth Bip’s full-length cooperation with Anticon-affiliated MC Doseone. The recording was a superb, highly experimental function that examined the limitations of hip-hop and steadily gathered a cult pursuing. Increase Bip began launching Doo Doo Breaks, some LPs designed for DJs, on Mush in 2000, but he transferred to Warp’s recently minted hip-hop imprint Lex (which continued to be associated with Warp until 2005) for his following work. The record was well-received, gaining a nomination for the 2008 Mercury Music Award.
