Boo

Boo! were one of the most initial South African option bands from the past due 1990s. Developing in Johannesburg in 1996, the music group brought collectively the skills of Chris Chameleon (vocals, bass), Ampie Omo (acoustic guitar, trumpet, keyboards)and Princess Leonie (drums). Boo!’s music (provided the moniker “Monkey punk” from the music group) was a bizarre combination of punk rhythms, non-sense lyrics and Chameleon’s garbled vocal delivery, topped by their stage antics. The infectious silliness of Boo! produced them immensely well-known in South Africa, however their undoubted musicianship also helped them in order to avoid becoming labelled simply like a novelty take action. The music group released their debut cassette Banana Flava in 1997; the recording Pineapple Flava – subtitled “Monki Punk” – adopted in 1998. The disk increased to prominence because of the airplay directed at their songs “OO AA” and “Lucki”. A 12 months later on, the group released a video, Cherrie, as well as the Three Boodists recording; 2000 saw the discharge of Seventies, Eighties, Nineties, Naughties.
