Biography
The very first merengue artist to become nominated for any Grammy award, in 1985, Bonny Cepeda (born: Fernando Antonio Cruz Paz) is among the most successful dance music artists within the Dominican Republic. A previous person in Wilfredo Vargas’ orchestra, Cepeda offers led such organizations as Los Hijos del Rey (Kids of sunlight), Bonny Con Keaton, and Bonny Cepeda & His Orquestra. Furthermore to recording a lot more than 30 albums by himself, Cepeda has created recordings by Fernando Villanova, Willie Berrios, Un Grupo Chantelle, Grupo Chevi, Proyecto Punto, Sergio Vargas, Rikarena, and Llave Maestra. The child of vocalist Anan Cepeda, as well as the uncle of multi-instrumentalist Richard Cepeda, Cepeda analyzed piano at an area music college, Villa Consuelo, as youngster. He continuing his studies in the Country wide Conservatory in Santo Domingo.
