Asioli was a pianist, theorist and author of some renown among his contemporaries: greatly lauded. He was the initial conductor to execute Haydn’s “Periods” and “Creation” which speaks extremely of his directorial skills. Bonifazio wrote several operas including “Il ratto di Proserpina,” and “Cinna.” On the prompting of Mayr he was the initial director from the Milan conservatory. The initial design of Asioli’s music was found mainly in his vocal chamber functions. In these parts, stylistically, he was discovered to become both warm and relaxing.
