An excellent drummer, Bob Moses has received his strongest identification being a colorful and adventurous arranger/composer for large ensembles. He performed as an adolescent with Rahsaan Roland Kirk (1964-1965), produced the first fusion group Free of charge Spirits with Larry Coryell (1966), and toured with Gary Burton’s quartet (1967-1969). Moses collaborated with Dave Liebman within the trio Open up Sky, documented with Gary Burton within the middle-’70s, and caused Jack port DeJohnette’s Compost, Pat Metheny (documenting Bright Size Lifestyle), Mike Gibbs, Hal Galper, Gil Goldstein, Steve Swallow, the Steve Kuhn/Sheila Jordan group (1979-1982), George Gruntz’s Concert Jazz Music group, and Emily Remler (1983-1984). He documented being a composer for his very own Mozown label in 1975, but Moses’ popularity as a article writer rests primarily along with his Gramavision produces, particularly when Elephants Imagine Music (1982), Go to With the fantastic Heart (1983), and 1994’s Period Stood Still. Nishoma was released in fall 2000.
