Bob Merrill

New York-based trumpeter, vocalist, arranger, and bandleader Bob Merrill can be an in-demand performer known for his straight-ahead jazz and standards design. Elevated in Manhattan, Merrill experienced early jazz teaching studying with famous trumpeter Crimson Rodney. After senior high school, he went to both Harvard and the brand new England Conservatory, ultimately teaching jazz like a fellow at Harvard. Time for NY in 1986, Merrill opened up his own studio room, where he break up his time generating music for tv advertisements and hosting documenting classes for such luminaries as Sting, Patti LaBelle, as well as others. Also during this time period, he worked well as musical movie director for his uncle, pianist Joe Bushkin. In 1997, Merrill released his debut recording, Catch as Capture Can, accompanied by Got a Bran’ New Match in 2005. A normal performer, Merrill offers appeared around the united states and been presented using the Philadelphia Pops, the Nassau Pops, as well as the Boston Pops. In 2015, Merrill released his 4th solo recording, Cheerin’ In the Universe.
