Bob Hastings

Brooklyn-born Bob Hastings is usually, understandably, most widely known as an actor and tone of voice artist, with an extended succession of memorable functions. On radio from your 1940s, he was Archie Andrews within an NBC network version of Archie Comics, and on tv in the 1950s, among several other functions, he worked well in the small-screen edition of VIRTUALLY NO TIME for Sergeants and spent four months as Lieutenant Carpenter on McHale’s Navy before shifting to try out Bert Ramsey around the daytime episode General Medical center. He was also Kelsey the tavern owner on All in the Family members in the 1970s, having a few films interspersed, and he later on shifted to tone of voice function in cartoons. But he in addition has documented at least one full-length LP, Bob Hastings Sings for the Family members, which he sang a variety of folk songs, well-known standards, children’s tracks, and traditional Irish tracks.
