Bob Gordon

Bob Gordon was an excellent West Coastline bop-oriented baritonist. He used Shorty Sherock (1946), Alvino Rey’s Orchestra (1948-1951), and Billy May (1952) before getting an in-demand program participant for jazz schedules with famous brands Shelly Manne, Maynard Ferguson, Chet Baker, Clifford Dark brown (1954), Shorty Rogers, Tal Farlow, and Stan Kenton. While on his method to playing in a Pete Rugolo concert in NORTH PARK, Bob Gordon was wiped out in a vehicle accident. His lone record as a head continues to be reissued by V.S.O.P.
