Bob & Cindy Dean

A popular couple singing duo from your 40s towards the mid-60s. These were Bob (b. Robert Dean, 26 Oct 1919, Elkton, Virginia, USA) and Cindy (b. Cindy Morris, 24 Dec 1924). In 1946, Bob with guitarist Leon Baxter and fiddler Harold Dean (no connection) started playing honky tonks and little beer bones in the Washington, DC region. After they documented ‘Maple WITHIN THE Hill’ for an area label, air-play by Connie B. Homosexual, onTown And Nation Time, resulted in additional recordings and obtained them are openers for touring functions. In 1948, after marrying Cindy, the loss of life of Bob’s dad saw the few go back to Virginia, where Cindy started performing with her hubby, after he produced a new music group.
