Biography

Bob Amos is really a folk and bluegrass musician who’s equally skilled like a vocalist and songwriter, like a guitarist. He is able to even keep his own having a tin whistle and is wearing a few of his recordings. In 1999, he completed focus on a debut recording, Wherever I proceed. He had just a little help from various other artists upon this 1st providing, including banjo picker Ron Stewart, guitarist Glen Zankey, bassists Bob Dick and Marshall Wilborn, drummer David McLaughlin, and mandolin participant Chris Thile. On Amos’ debut recording, fans will see terrific amounts like “State EVERYTHING YOU Mean,” “I UNDERSTAND YOUR GEOGRAPHICAL AREA,” “Areas of House,” “Baby’s Got the Blues,” and “Become Thou My Eyesight.” Amos mixes tips of country taste, blues soul, and also a little rock and roll & move sprit into his melodies. Over the last 10 years roughly of his profession, Amos offers toured through both USA and Europe like a lead person in Front side Range, a bluegrass and folk group which has released several albums beneath the Sugar Hill Information label.

1 Signed as a free agent contract with the American Football League's Kansas City Chiefs put was later strongly urged by their Head Coach Hank Stram to pursue his heart for writing.
2 Although he played Leslie Uggams's father in Roots (1977), he is only three years her senior in real life.
3 According to the Chinese calendar, he was born in the Year of the Rabbit.
4 Amos was once a Golden Gloves boxing champion.
5 Has also written comedy material for television and performed stand-up comedy in New York City's Greenwich Village.
6 Was also a social worker (he headed New York's Vera Institute of Justice) and an advertising copywriter prior to pursuing a career as an actor.
7 Played professional football for the Norfolk Neptunes in the late 1960's
8 Played college football at Colorado State University.
9 Was cast as the Evans father in Good Times (1974) despite being only eight years older than Jimmie Walker (who played J.J., the oldest son) and nearly nineteen years younger than Esther Rolle, who played his wife, Florida.
10 He was spotted observing one of the trials of mobster John Gotti.
11 Quit the show Good Times (1974) over complaints directed at him by fans and friends that the show was not a pleasant portrait of African-American life and somewhat insulting. To explain his absence from the show, his character on Good Times (1974) was killed in a car accident, ensuring his choice to leave was permanent.
