Irish substitute CCM outfit Bluetree shaped in Belfast across the talents of vocalist/guitarist Aaron Boyd, guitarist Richard Bleakley, keyboardist Ian Jordan, bass player Andrew McCann, drummer Peter Comfort and DJ Peter Kernoghan. The music group released its debut recording, Greater Issues, in 2008, leading to critical and industrial acclaim both in the home and internationally. God of the Town, Bluetree’s sophomore recording, a self-described “convergence of worship, rock and roll, and technology,” came the following yr. Bleakley, Jordan, and McCann remaining the group soon after City’s release, producing room for fresh people Conor McCroy (acoustic guitar), Jonny Hobson (drums) and Pete Nickell (bass).
