Bluejuice

The prosaic nature of Bluejuice’s back-story — they met at school and formed a band — has led these to invent a biography for themselves even more suitable for their quirky nature. Based on the tale, half of these are former associates of rock-band Sherbet, as well as the other half contain lady guys from Thailand. Thankfully, Sherbet’s tour supervisor valued the joke when he found out it. The initial lineup of Bluejuice contains vocalists Jake Rock and Stavros Yiannoukas, drummer Ned Molesworth, keyboardist and guitarist Jerry Craib, and bass guitarist Jamie Cibej. Rock and Yiannoukas alternated between dynamic rock and roll performing and rapping, occasionally pseudonymously as MCs Speed and Kinetic, respectively. These were markedly not the same as the other rings of Sydney’s underground picture in 2001 if they created, with punkish prankishness and love of life dominating on the city’s defining indie rock and roll seriousness or hip-hop’s façade of toughness. Their 1st two releases had been EPs, Zebraaazz in 2003 and THE NICE Fortune Pig in 2005. Their 1st album, Problems, adopted in 2007, with all three of its singles put into high rotation on JJJ Radio. Their innovative video clips, one of that was shot as the bandmembers had been skydiving and another taking an impromptu overall performance in a shopping mall, also gained them acclaim. Bluejuice’s concert events as well as the energy that proceeded to go into them had been responsible for the largest hype: Jake Rock was caught for wearing portion of a law enforcement standard on-stage (costs had been later fallen) and broke a hands and lower leg in separate occurrences in 2008.
