Reading, England-based indie pop clothing Blueboy had been led by singer Keith Girdler and guitarist Paul Stewart, who previously teamed in the little-known Feverfew. Upon documenting the initial Blueboy demo within a friend’s shed, the duo delivered a copy from the music “Clearer” towards the famed Sarah Information label, which decided to launch the monitor as an individual in nov 1991; with the next improvements of second guitarist Harvey Williams (of Field Mice/Another SUNSHINEY DAY fame), vocalist/cellist Gemma Townlet, bassist Tag, and drummer Lloyd, the group came back in middle-1992 with “Popkiss,” quickly accompanied by the full-length If Desires Had been Horses. Resurfacing the next year using the singles “Meet up with Johnny Rave” and “Some Beautiful Incident,” Blueboy released their second LP, Unisex, in the springtime of 1994; immediately after Tag and Lloyd remaining the music group, with Townlet presuming bass responsibilities and Martin Rose putting your signature on to play drums for the 1995 solitary “Dirty Mags.” When Sarah folded later on that yr, label co-owner Matt Haynes created the brand new Shinkansen imprint, getting Blueboy with him release a 1996’s “Like Yourself”; by this time around the lineup was once again reduced to the initial duo of Girdler and Stewart, with vocalist Cath Close, bassist Wayne Neville, and drummer Ian Gardner completing the lineup for 1998’s THE LENDER of Britain, the band’s last launch. Girdler and Stewart also documented as Arabesque and later on Beaumont. Identified as having tumor in 2004, Keith Girdler passed away of the condition on, may 15, 2007.
