Experimental musical theater troupe the Blue Man Group were founded in 1987 by longtime friends Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink; similar within their blue-painted epidermis, skullcaps, and dark clothing, they shortly became a fixture of the brand new York underground functionality art scene because of their regular performances in Central Recreation area, followed by displays at observed East Village areas including Dixon Place, Functionality Space 122, as well as the Wooster Group’s Performing Garage area. Equal parts enjoy, concert, and sketch regular, the Blue Man Group mixed view gags, physical stunts, and market participation, with associates of leading rows given plastic material rainfall ponchos as safety from the hail of color, food, along with other assorted projectiles released through the stage; in early 1991, they premiered their creation Pipes at La MaMa, shifting towards the Astor Place Theatre by the finish of the entire year and eventually earning an Obie Award for his or her efforts. Tubes ultimately expanded to very long works in Boston, Chicago, and NEVADA; in 1999, the Blue Guy Group also released an album, Sound, spotlighting their custom made musical instruments. 3 years afterwards, the trio inked a multi-album cope with Atlantic’s sister label, Lava Information. The Organic, which made an appearance in Apr 2003, proclaimed the Blue Man Group’s monumental sophomore record — a slick work showcasing amazing collaborations with Tracy Bonham, Dave Matthews, Dan the Automator, and Esthero. In 2008, the group celebrated its effective How to Be considered a Megastar tour by launching a Compact disc/DVD from the show in addition to an EP of remixes of “Canta Conmigo,” the effective Spanish-language interpretation of the melody “Sing Along.” On the arriving years, the Blue Guy Group continuing to broaden its theatrical functions all over the world, and in 2012, released an EP offering various versions of the epic concert finale “Tremble Your Euphemism.” A fresh full-length record, Three, premiered in 2016 to commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary.

The Blue Man Group is now located at the Venetian Hotel Casino and is currently the largest of the Blue Man Group Venues with a 1729 seat Theater. [February 2006]
Just announced that they are going to add Toronto as the 6th city that Blueman Group will perform in! They should open in the Summer of 2005. [June 2004]
Founded in the late 80s by long-time friends Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman. They began making public appearances as "Blue Man Group" on the streets of New York City as well as in performance art spaces of the East Village. Some of those pieces, as well as others developed with musical collaborators Larry Heinemann, Ian Paice and video designer Caryl Glaab, were used to create a show at La Mama, ETC. (the famous East Village performance space) in 1990. This led to opening the show at the Astor Place Theatre in the fall of 1991. The Boston show opened in the fall of 1995, Chicago in 1997, and "Live at Luxor" in Las Vegas in March of 2000. The Complex Rock Tour launched May 2003. In May 2004, Blue Man Group opened their first international production in Berlin. They are now planning a show in Toronto for 2005 and recently opened a show in London's New London Theatre.
