Blue Hawaii

Section of Montreal’s fertile electronic pop picture in the 2010s, Blue Hawaii may be the function of Raphaelle Standell-Preston (also from the desire pop music group Braids) and Agor (aka Alexander Cowan). The set began working collectively in early 2010 and, influenced by their moves in Central America, released the Blooming Summer time EP on Arbutus Information later that 12 months. Though issues just like the achievement of Braids’ Indigenous Loudspeaker and Cowan’s stint in European countries meant that this duo couldn’t focus on their music collectively in person just as much as before, they continuing writing songs separately and then documented them in studios across Canada. The effect was the smooth, chilly pop of Untogether, which Arbutus released in Feb of 2013.
