Bliss Band

Acquiring their moniker from keyboard player/vocalist Paul Bliss’ surname, this US hard rock and roll group additionally included Phil Palmer (guitar), Alan Park (keyboards), Andy Brown (bass) and Nigel Elliot (drums). Produced in the middle-70s, they go about perfecting a mixture of pomp and AOR, making use of their head’s operatic vocals and diffident compositions on the forefront of all of their materials. They produced their debut with Supper With Raoul for Columbia Information in 1978, but far better received was 1979’s Neon Smiles, including the group’s greatest song, ‘Stagefright’. Even so, poor product sales consigned the group to an early on grave when Columbia Information dropped them on the convert of the 10 years. Paul Bliss eventually embarked on a low-key single career.
