Blind Mr. Jones

Biography

Presumably taking their name from the very first two songs about Talking Heads’ Naked and jokingly known as the Jethro Tull of shoegazing for his or her frequent usage of flute, Blind Mr. Jones shaped in the first ’90s in Marlow, Britain, quickly becoming seen as a youthful band to monitor. Guitarist Wayne Franklin, guitarist/vocalist Richard Moore, flautist Jon Tegner, bassist/vocalist Will Teversham, and drummer Jon White colored comprised the music group, getting started privately within their teenagers by aping rings like the Wedding ceremony Present. They ultimately developed their audio to squeeze in range with shoegaze rings like Trip and Slowdive, along with a demonstration won the eye from the Cherry Reddish colored label, who ultimately authorized them. 1992’s Stereo system Musicale was preceded from the Eye Large and Crazy Jazz singles; the former presented guitar parts compiled by Slowdive’s Neil Halstead as well as the second option presented harmonica from Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood. 2 yrs later on, their full-length debut was accompanied by Tatooine, which shed a number of the band’s previous shoegazing tendencies. The music group apparently dissolved soon after its release.
