The Queen from the Café-Cantante tradition in Brazil, Bleuette reigned in the Alcazar Parque (at Rio’s famous Bohemian borough of Lapa) in 1900-1. Having debuted in 1890 in the Bijou Concert in Toulouse (France), and having performed, constantly with high achievement, in Vienna (Austria), Berlin (Germany), Budapest (Czech Republic), Russia and Buenos Aires (Argentina), Bleuette was anxiously anticipated actually before she reached Brazil, preceded from the popularity of her beauty, of her heavenly and hellish smile and, obviously, from the Parisian chansonettes of her repertory. Accompanied from the Alcazar orchestra carried out with a. Capitani, Bleuette verified her talented interpretations, praised by unanimous evaluations and noisily saluted by an enormous sponsor of inebriated followers.
