Formed in the first ’90s by brothers Johan and Guillaume Ledoux, who acquired previously been the lynchpins of punk outfit Zero de Conduite, Blankass certainly are a People from france rock outfit who’ve attracted comparisons with artists as diverse as Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave, and Serge Gainsbourg. Famous for championing politics causes like the Totally free Tibet advertising campaign and immigrant support group GISTI, the ever-changing lineup, which includes included famous brands saxophonist Philippe Ribaudeau and previous Les Visiteurs guitarist Nicolas Bravin, released their self-titled debut in 1996 and implemented it up with 1999’s L’Ere de Rien, 2003’s L’Homme Fleur, and 2005’s Elliott. After a seven-year studio room absence to focus on various solo tasks, they came back in 2012 with 5th record Les Chevals.
