Blackpool Lights

Once the pioneering emo band the GET RIGHT UP Kids known as it quits in 2005, guitarist Jim Suptic pressed in with his up coming project, Blackpool Lights. The indie rock and roll foursome were only available in 2004 with Suptic (vocals/electric guitar), Brian Everard (bass), Billy Brimblecom (drums), and J.D. Warnock (electric guitar/vocals). Like Suptic, each member acquired previously used other alternative rock and roll bands, especially Brimblecom, who released one record on Arista with Stay in 1993. He also performed stints using the Creature Conveniences and the LA dance-punk action theSTART in the first 2000s. After self-releasing an EP, Blackpool Lighting started Curb Charm Records to place out their initial full length. Amid recording their initial record in early 2005, Brimblecom was tragically struck using a cancerous disease known as Ewing’s sarcoma. This uncommon kind of cancers caused Brimblecom’s still left knee to become amputated in the knee down; nevertheless, he beat the condition and continued to try out using a prosthetic knee. Warnock still left the group in November 2005 and Thom Hoskins (electric guitar/vocals), formerly from the Belles as well as the Buffalo Saints, was called as his substitute in the brand new calendar year. This Town’s Catastrophe marked their appropriate debut in June 2006.
