The record was well received both commercially and critically, and in 1999 the three reconvened for another record, Kings of Appreciate, where they covered music from a number of different tunesmiths, in addition to presenting several original quantities. In 2004, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings released Bark, their initial record dominated by first materials, which solidified the group’s solid, scrappy fusion of blues, nation, and rock affects.
