Black Yaya

Black Yaya may be the eclectic pop task of David Ivar, formerly head from the folky France action Herman Düne. Later in 2012, Ivar understood that Herman Düne acquired run its training course which he had a need to make music within a different, even more independent way. Motivated with the music of Bob Dylan and John Lennon, the artwork of Hieronymus Bosch and Marcel Duchamp, movies such as Nights the Hunter as well as the Killing, authors including Daphne du Maurier and Raymond Chandler, and his very own dreams and visions, Ivar had taken his songwriting in a far more stylized path. The task produced its unofficial documented debut using the tour-only discharge Gimme a Weapon/September Songs; in the meantime, Ivar also done the music for Olivier Lambert and Thomas Salva’s film Chasing Bonnie & Clyde. Dark Yaya’s established debut found its way to September 2013 using the Color a Smile on Me EP, that was released on Yuksek’s Partyfine label and in addition included remixes by him. Ivar decamped to LA to record Dark Yaya’s self-titled 1st recording, playing and documenting all of the parts by himself (apart from support vocals by his partner, Mayon). The 1st taste from the album found its way to January 2015 using the Soaring a Rocket solitary, and Dark Yaya premiered that March.
