Black Pistol Fire

A hard-hitting Canadian indie blues-rock duo that cites Led Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, Nirvana, Friend Holly, and Muddy Waters mainly because inspirations, Dark Pistol Fire was founded by Eric Owen (drums) and Kevin McKeown (acoustic guitar, vocals). The duo relocated from Toronto to Austin, Tx shortly after developing, and released their eponymous full-length debut via Rifle Parrot Information in 2011. Big Defeat ’59 arrived the next year, as well as the music group made an enormous splash in the 2013 SXSW music meeting, drawing evaluations to bands just like the Dark Keys, the White colored Stripes, and Music group of Skulls, using the Huffington Post declaring them the “following big factor”. A flurry of event appearances adopted, including shows at Lollapalooza, Austin Town Restricts, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch Music Event, Shaky Legs, and Governor’s Ball, as do their third studio room long-player, 2014’s well-received Contemporary Outsider-issued Hush or Howl. The blistering Don’t Wake the Riot fallen in-may 2016, once again via Contemporary Outsider.
