Created in Washington, D.C. in 2001, Dischord’s post-punk clothing Black Eyes comes after in the footsteps of labelmates Q rather than U and Fugazi aswell as rings like Ladies Against Kids. The elusive group (1st names limited to this music group), who released their self-titled debut in 2003, includes two bassists, two drummers, only 1 guitar and significantly caterwauling vocals. The instrumental line-up produces a rhythmic and generating sound comparable to the Liars as the lyrics explore darkness and assault within a poignant but oblique rock and roll poetry. The music group came back in 2004 with Cough.
