Originally calling themselves Gypsy, Perth’s short-lived Dark Alice were mostly of the Australian rock bands of the first ’80s not really beating the AC/DC template to death. Rather, vocalist Rob Hartley, guitarist Jamie Web page, bassist Vince Linardi, and drummer Joe Demasi mixed hard rock and roll energy using the noises of the brand new Wave of United kingdom Heavy Metal on the only record, 1983’s Endangered Types.
