Canadian doom metallic outfit Bison B.C. (the “B.C.” was added like a precautionary measure in order to avoid any potential legal issues with bands which were inspired to mention themselves following the same beast) grew from the fertile floor of well-known Vancouver “skate-thrash” music group S.T.R.E.E.T.S. The quartet, which features guitarist/vocalist Wayne Farwell, guitarist/vocalist Dan And, bass participant Masa Anzai, and drummer Brad MacKinnon, brought its punk and hardcore origins towards the sludge metallic slab because of its debut recording, Earthbound, which ultimately captured the ear of Metallic Blade Information. The resulting Calm Earth, made by Jesse Gander (3 Ins of Bloodstream, Subhumans), premiered in 2008, accompanied by Dark Age groups this year 2010.
