b. 26 March 1917, Oklahoma Town, Oklahoma, USA, d. 3 June 1978, Huntsville, Alabama, USA. Wallace made an appearance on KWKH’s The Louisiana Hayride and produced many recordings in the past due 50s, usually along with his music group, the Bama Drifters. Chiefly, though, and rightly, Wallace was most widely known like a songwriter. Among his many tracks are “Back again Street Affair”, documented by Webb Pierce and Kitty Wells, “YOU HAVE Some TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO Perform”, “Puppy Hauled Around” and “I’m Gonna Switch You A’ Loose”, the final three which show up often on Compact disc compilations of his function. Tracks in Wallace’s repertoire, a few of that have been his personal compositions, included “That’s My Prize”, “What’ll I REALLY DO”, “Mean, Mistreatin’ Baby” and “Burning up The Blowing wind”.
