Billy Munn

b. 12 Might 1911, Glasgow, Scotland, d. 2 Might 2000, Scotland. His dad led an area amateur orchestra with age seven Munn started formal piano research on the Athenaeum College of Music. Four years afterwards, while still at college, he was playing piano at silent film theatres in Glasgow. He graduated to using an orchestra with 14 played within a dance music group. Ultimately, he and a pal, Andy Lothian, became regulars at Glasgow’s Kings Café where these were heard by way of a regional theatrical impresario. Munn shifted to larger locations with 17 was prepared for the big-time.
