Billy Bletcher

The career of American comic actor Billy Bletcher stretched in the silent era through the past due 1960s. He started executing in vaudeville at age group 19 and started his screen profession on the Vitagraph Studios, Brooklyn in 1913. While there, he occasionally aimed John Bunny comedies. He and his wife Arline found Hollywood in 1917 where he became a share comic for Mack Sennett’s troupe and performed in lots of two-reelers. Bletcher’s profession didn’t really remove before early 1920s when he teamed up with Billy Gilbert. Jointly they appeared in several Hal Roach two-reelers. Bletcher afterwards made an appearance as Spanky’s dad in the “Our Gang” pants. He also supplied voices for Disney toon individuals and in features like the Wizard of Oz (being a Munchkin). Bletcher also do voiceovers on tv. His last film appearance is at 1969.
