A reliable really difficult bop-oriented trumpeter, Costs Hardman hardly ever became well-known, but he helped from many periods. While an adolescent, Hardman gigged with Tadd Dameron, and after graduating senior high school he was with Tiny Bradshaw (1953-1955). He debuted on record with Jackie McLean (1955), used Charles Mingus (1956), and obtained identification for his use Artwork Blakey’s Jazz Messengers (1956-1958). Hardman caused Horace Sterling silver (1958), Lou Donaldson (on / off during 1959-1966), re-joined Blakey double (1966-1969 and in the past due ’70s), was with Mingus once again during elements of 1969-1972, and led an organization with Junior Make (1979-1981). Costs Hardman had an attractive style within the Clifford Dark brown tradition and documented as a head for Savoy (1961) and Muse.
