Bill Converse

Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Expenses Converse was raised immersed in the Detroit techno sound just before relocating to Austin, Texas in 1998. Following that, he began accumulating an arsenal of synthesizers and gradually building a name for himself like a DJ and maker, learning to be a fixture from the city’s regional electronic music picture. Producing music beneath the name WWC, a 90-minute cassette of Converse’s liquid, hypnotic acidity techno tracks entitled Meditations/Industry premiered by regional label Obsolete Long term in 2013; the shorter Alienself adopted in 2014. Converse helped set up a team known as Timelife Methrave, which began an internet radio show entitled Tunnel Dive to be able to spotlight underground electronic suppliers and DJs. In 2016, the San Francisco-based label Dark Entries released an abridged LP edition of Meditations/Market, this time acknowledged to Expenses Converse. The recording was accompanied by Warehouse Invocation, an EP made up of additional materials from the initial Meditations/Market cassette and a previously unreleased monitor. The 12″ solitary “7 of 9″ adopted on Tx Recordings Underground. In July of 2017, Converse released the dual 12” Sodium of Mars on Tabernacle Information, aswell as THE FORM of What to Seriously Dark Entries.
