Big Sound Authority

This promising UK band was formed in 1983 by two vocalists Tony Burke (who handled the rock material) and Julie Hadwin (who sang the blues parts), the band were complemented by an excellent brass section. On the tiny Resource label they released the 60s-affected ‘This Home (Can be Where Your Like Stands)’, that was a UK strike early in 1985. The follow-up, ‘A Poor Town’, did much less well, and despite shifting to Resource’s distributing label and becoming made by Tony Visconti, following singles ‘Shifting Heaven And Globe’ and ‘Don’t Allow Our Love TAKE UP A Battle’ also failed.
