Vocalist Big John Dickerson is not any stranger to blues and spirit music. Dickerson’s current support music group, Blue Chamber, possess long been the home music group at Famous Dave’s BBQ and Blues in uptown Minneapolis. The 60-something Dickerson continues to be singing for many years; he started his profession in Detroit like a program drummer for Motown Information, and caused classic R&B performers Jerry Butler and Bettye Swann on the respective trips in the 1960s. His program credits consist of drumming for the Temptations, Five Sharps, Marvin Gaye, Wayne Brownish and Bobby “Blue” Bland, amongst others. Dickerson documented two individually released albums using the local band Down Best Tight ahead of his 1997 debut for Cannonball.
