Big Gilson & Alan Ghreen

Guitarist Big Gilson and pianist Alan Ghreen are acoustic bluesmen from Brazil, people from the Brazilian music group Big Allanbik who have also record independently. A vacation to America to analyze blues numbers (from Teacher Longhair to Lightnin’ Hopkins to Jerry Lee Lewis) triggered them to return to Rio de Janeiro having a restored feeling of purpose and record a blues recording in a far more relaxed placing. The results, Yellowish Mojo Blues, made an appearance on TopCat in 1998.
